okay so i'm a little bit behind on lots of stuff. like.. this should have been posted last sunday:

i was asked how i watch(ed) the tour de france. well, on days that i worked at the office i hardly saw anything, except maybe some highlights later in the evening. on days when i was working from home the tv was on in the background and i'd notice if something exciting appeared to be happening. and when i wasn't working i'd usually watch the tour at my parents' house. my dad knows a lot more about the tour's history than i do, but i seem to be learning. we may even have some silly discussions, like which is the toughest mountain to climb, the tourmalet or the mont ventoux..

lots of riders are on twitter, though i'm only following a couple. lance armstrong (of course) and team astana, team manager johan bruyneel, laurens ten dam, robbie mcewen, and mark renshaw.

they are just like people; sometimes they even reply when you ask them something.. :)
saskia and i wanted to know what music laurens ten dam listens to, and here's what he said:

I learned about the Tour from my dad, too. :) Here it's on live and rebroadcast three times later in the day... which is good because otherwise I would consider being late to work all time while it's going on.

I'm lucky enough to be able to see the live broadcast in the mornings with Paul Scherwin and Phil Liggett (sp?). Even though watching three weeks of bike racing is plenty, I'm still having a little TDF withdrawal...
