i now have a japanese iTunes account! it was a gift from a friend. i'm starting with a ¥3000 credit. i don't think i'll use it for any regular purchases, mainly for special things such as bonus tracks not available elsewhere. is it me or is music super expensive in japan? i've seen that prices for songs range from 150 to 250 yen!

(i checked the exchange rate earlier today: $1 = ¥78.69)

there was a question on twitter that i'm going to answer here:

iPod or iPhone when i go running. that's also how i listen to music at the office occasionally. it's relatively quiet there; we have decided you shouldn't be forced to listen to some crappy radio channel all day. at home, it's music on or via the computer mostly these days. i still use Winamp. i am a last.fm subscriber. most of what i play (but not everything) is scrobbled there. Saskia and i share a Spotify Premium account.

so there you have it, the more or less complete picture..

Cool!!! They don't have a problem you having an account in more than one iTunes store? How was it set up?

Me too! Winamp is my main player too, but with certain tracks I have to fall back on iTunes because my Winamp doesn't play mp4.
