who are you?

  • Jan. 13th, 2005 at 1:39 AM
_support, (home) me: phone
of all the people here on livejournal who have added me, some i've come to know really well. but who are all the people behind the other names on that list?

here's what i'd like you to do. everyone, please post a picture of yourself here, as a comment. and tell me a few things about yourself. you don't have to write me a novel, just a couple of lines will do. perhaps this entry will end up in memories, as a reminder, if i happen to forget who you are.. :p

please, do this. i'd really appreciate it.

I'm a thelemite and an ex hare krishna. I'm a cab driver in new orleans. I write poetry... hmmm...not too much to say about me.

i've heard about thelema, but i don't know much about it. i believe it's more like a philosophy than a religion, right?

I don't 'do' pictures on LJ, or at least I haven't to date, not face ones, anyway ;)

I am 35, an editor and writer by trade; a lazy sometime-musician, gourmand, reader, viewer, traveller and sensualist by preference.

I'm in a relationship with the gorgeous Miss K, who is considerably older than me. We live in a very pleasant Art Deco flat in inner Melbourne, Australia. We have an ancient, toothless, 15-toed cat and drive a 37-year-old car.

We're both always broke.

There are some who would call me..... Tim.

I hide, and lurk a lot.

And secretly plot to take over the world.

I'm 5 foot and 12 inches tall, and have cold feet.

Umm...You can find out more about me in my LJ.

Take Care.

And.... Yeah.

Thanks.

That's me about a year and a half ago when I had shorter hair, it's much longer now and I typically wear it in pigtails.

Let's see... I'm a liberal arts student in Illinois -- focus on literature. I like to draw, Harry Potter owns my soul and I enjoy all sorts of music. After Harry Potter, music is my runner up obsession. I'm a DJ on our campus radio station and my roommate says I'm a little snobby about music. Mostly classic rock and indie stuff from today. Latest musical obsession: Interpol. Favorite novel: Lolita. Favorite color: green. I've got a shamrock tattoo. This is turning into a novel.

Your pictures are always fabulous and your politics are always hilarious!

I 'do' photography and use other media to create art as well as pictures. I live in the south of the UK, and spent about 6 months in Amsterdam and Alphen a/d Rijn working a few years ago.

I do have another job I do with the above, but it is pretty average by comparison.

Also, I love your pictures... :-)

No I am not a fisherman, nor do I really own a moose. (It was too big, my wife would not let me bring it home). I am a fairly average person who enjoys travel and taking photographs. I do not post much in LJ, but keep up with my brother-in-law RKLedgerwood--the real traveler in the family. However between reading your, _default_'s, and hipstomp's journals, I have been inspired to try to add a picture a day to my journal.

Hey! I check your journal out every few weeks. I found you through a lurker on my journal - the guy is linked to you and two other smart and beautiful women (check them out: [info]slowertwin and [info]uvaspina).

Anyway, I like shit like this, so I'll speak up: I'm an artist / banker ( I work at JPMorgan). I love saying that because it sounds so bizarre. I draw a lot, paint a lot and sculpt a lot. I live in NYC, the city I love. I travel when I can, I might have a show in Stockholm this summer and I'll definitely have a show in Zurich this fall. (I'm going to Sweden for fun in a month, but I won't be near your beautiful city.)
