tonight i made chow mein. the simple version. it's basically chicken breasts, noodles, shiitake mushrooms, red pepper, green pepper, spring onions, soy sauce.. it's not that difficult to make and it doesn't take very long to prepare and cook either. less than 30 minutes.

& it's one of those evenings that you don't need to change the TV channel. i'm not used to watching so much television in a row, but starting from 7:30 there's startrek: enterprise, two episodes of NCIS, followed by numb3rs and then alias, which is still on now. i'm not a big fan of NCIS, but for some reason saskia is.. so i did a bit of reading while that was on, but it's not that i'm going to sit in another room and leave her on her own. hey, i'm a woman & we're good at multitasking.. :D

sounds like a good recipe! have you tried sprinkling sesame oil on it right as you're done frying it? it's really nice!

well, the other version has parma ham, baby corn and sherry. and no red, only green pepper. i don't think either of these recipes is very traditional..

I love evenings like that. Nice meal, good tv and wonderful company.

We watched 'Waking Ned Divine' last night. that was great viewing!

its an old Irish Film- Ned Divine wins the lottery and Promptly Dies of shock. His friends decide to pretend to be him adn collec the winnings which ultimately leads to a comedy of errors. Worth the viewing.
