technically there were other things i did yesterday, that i had never done before in my life..
like buying a book written by bill gates¹.
or having spinach on a pizza.. :D

even though some days might look exactly like the ones before, every day is new. we meet new people, we have different thoughts, we might listen to music by unfamiliar artists. new experiences and opportunities..

deep thoughts on a late tuesday afternoon, you say?
(not even mentioning your location's time)
not really. well i leafed through a book of teachings by the dalai lama just a few minutes ago, but i don't think that triggered the above..

if you're wondering what i was referring to yesterday..
i got a bellybutton piercing!
i'll show you some pictures, but not right now. not that it looks really gross at the moment, but let's just give it some time..

oh i went back to work today. four or five hours a day for now. just to see how that goes.

'every day is new' actually is a zen saying..
a whole new level of deep.
let's not go there now.
you might not even had breakfast yet.. :)

¹ not counting any old windows manuals. i doubt that those are written by mr william h. gates III himself anyway..

every day is new, but the world is small and old.

I just met someone, a swell guy, while watching the Labour Day concerts...that guy apparently is the ex-boyfriend of a very good friend of mine....talking about her, we came up with another of his ex-girlfriends, who happens to be a long lost high school friend of mine.

I lost track of her when she moved to Italy...and apparently, I learned from him, she moved back to my home city.

An attempt to track her down through that guy is being made...

Ten years have passed, but old friends still surface.

interesting...i should really check into this whole zen stuff. have you ever read [or seen the movie adaptation of] "the peaceful warrior"? good stuff. well, the movie was good; i have a feeling the book might have been better :P

Ahh, deep thoughts.

Nice post... good to see you getting back to yourself again.

Belly button pierced... I got mine done several years ago, a ploy to hang out with a girl (yeah, it worked out well too)

And you? special reason, or just a thing?

i guess most people are much younger when they get their bellybutton pierced. i've never really been interested in piercings or tattoos, at least not on myself.

no special reason. it's just that lately i had been thinking about it a bit more and was starting to like the idea..

Hey it's me again!
I was imagining you doing something really dangerous. I don't know. Don't know what I was thinking. Not that getting a piercing done is painless or anything. I'm just glad you're okay, darling.

I don't get all the zen stuff. Maybe I'm just too shallow? Hah! yeah that might be it. :P

thanks. it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would. it feels a little weird now though. but i guess that can be expected when they've stuck a needle through your skin.. :D
btw do you have any piercings yourself?

we all have different interests and when you're not into something, that doesn't necessarily make you shallow..
