happy autumn!

it's gradually getting colder. i don't mind that so much. what i do not like is that it's already getting dark so early now.

what i have for you today, is food & music..

here's how to make blackberry scones

1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 eggs. beaten
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup (or more) blackberries
(makes about 10-12 scones)

preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7
whisk the milk and the eggs together
in a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
add the butter and blend the mixture with your hands until the texture is crumbly but doesn't contain big lumps
add the blackberries and toss about until the blackberries are coated with the flour mixture
add the milk-egg mixture slowly until the dough comes together
turn dough out onto a board and knead it about 10-12 times
with a large spoon scoop the scone mixture onto a non-stick ungreased baking sheet
glaze them with the remaining milk-egg mixture, using a pastry brush
bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden
remove from the oven and allow to cool

(recipe x-posted to support_recipes)

and now, some music..

Going to make those, don't have blackberries though. But there are blueberries in the freezer. I think that should work.
