history

the reason we stayed up all night isn't because we were afraid to go to sleep
& wake up disappointed in the morning..
we just wanted to see it with our own eyes;
witness this genuinely historic moment..

tears in my eyes,
despite being so far away geographically..

emotion
optimism
hope

change..

I have been thinking about you recently. Been some time between posts....It was historic & euphoric.
To borrow from James Burke,

it was "The Day The Universe Changed"

I was so relieved to see it happen but, to have participated and placed my vote. I was present for the DNC here in Denver, I saw the crowds, the protesters the community at large. I was amongst the crowd of 100 thousand (+/-) at Civic Center park for his speech a few weeks ago - all if it electric.

I remember his speech in 2004 and I remeber thinking: That is the man who could revive the party, energize the people and I an so pleased to know now He most deffinately is THE MAN.

optimism has returned, the belief in change & that great things can be accomplished
i only hope that people will have some patience
like he said:
the road ahead will be long
our climb will be steep..
