the geeky side of tam..

i created a new journal & i called it tamtech. as the name suggests (or should suggest) it's all about computer stuff. all things too nerdy and technical for tamar go there. you can expect posts about webdesign, html, stylesheets, computer problems, programming, new hard- and software etc.

Noticed you had Linux up there. Which distro are you using?

i don't know by heart which distribution, i have to check. it's on my other computer just to be on the safe side. i don't want linux to mess up anything on this one. i know, nothing will go wrong probably and i know you can set up a dual-boot and all that..

oh and messing around with things like linux is just a bit of a hobby. i'm not a developer or programmer or anything.

Same with me. I've played with Slackware, and Mandrake (Mandrake is very easy), but I've got Caldera and SuSE on cd.. but haven't had a play with them yet (although it's been sitting on my cupboard for over a year!)

I ran Redhat for five years or more....now I use SuSE

What do you prefer? I'm now an OS X user (Mac interface with Unix guts) - to me it's the same car, just different paint job. :)
