the dutch revolution

the number of comments on my previous entry was greater than expected, just like the turnout in our country's referendum yesterday.

it's been a long day, i'm going to bed. but not before telling you the semi-official result:

yes: 38.4%
no: 61.6%

democracy wins. there are no real losers. only people who didn't do their homework.

I think people who don't take an interest in the world around them and then bother to take part are part of the problem in why the world around us is in the state it's in.

I was actually one of the the few people that voted yes. :x

And not because of Balkenende and his nice speaches ("We'll all be doomed!1!1!1")...

but you have to admit, it's a bit hard, typing in the dark. or didn't all the lights go out where you live? :p
